This study, prepared for the California Arts Council Demonstration Grants Program by RAND Education, examines partnerships between the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and local arts agencies, one component of the LAUSD's ambitious sequential arts education curriculum initiated in 1999 for grades K-12. The study identifies the goals of the schools and partners, patterns of interaction, and factors that hinder or facilitate the effectiveness of the partnerships.
