Planning project director, Fred Johnson

October 2000, 100 pages, $16. National Alliance for Media Arts and Culture (NAMAC), 346 Ninth Street, San Francisco, California 94103, (415) 431-1391.

With support from the Ford Foundation, NAMAC convened a series of "working groups" in partnership with media arts organizations throughout the US. Each group's mission was to consider the effects of digital conversion on the media arts field, and based on their findings, make recommendations for sustainability and growth in a digital media world. This White Paper is the culmination of meetings in Austin, Boston, Benton Foundation Open Studio Program, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York, San Francisco, and Seattle.
