This study argues that information technology (IT) is forming a powerful alliance with creative practices (CP) and the result is a new domain of Information Technology and Creative Practice (ITCP) that merits the attention of academic institutions, the business community, public agencies and private funders. A series of recommendations outline a course of action to nurture and promote ITCP.
