Join Salvador Acevedo, president of Contemporánea, for an overview of the latest trends in multicultural, multiethnic audience engagement in the arts. Salvador will focus on the necessary organizational and outreach changes associated with current demographic shifts (as highlighted by the 2010 census) and will discuss specific strategies for developing engagement initiatives that consider not only the characteristics of a target population, but also the changes within your organization that facilitate implementation.
|Salvador Acevedo has spent more than 15 years creating and implementing successful marketing communications strategies as a marketing consultant, executive, and researcher. Contemporánea’s strategies are rooted in people’s needs, perceptions, and values. Salvador, who is bilingual and bicultural, has helped organizations and corporations build bridges with the Latino community, aiding in development and business opportunities. Clients include the Washington State Arts Commission, American for the Arts, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, NASA-UC Berkeley, the San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Balboa Park Cultural Partnership, among others. Salvador earned an MA in Communications from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City; a diploma in marketing from University of California, Berkeley; and is certified by Research in Values and Attitudes, Inc. (RIVA, Inc.) as a qualitative researcher. He received the 2008 Latino Business Leadership Awards, presented by the San Francisco Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, San Francisco Business Times, and Wells Fargo.|
