Comprised of two small publications, two pamphlets, and a 15-minute DVD, this kit includes background about media consolidation and outlines basic as well as more in-depth strategies for raising awareness and promoting advocacy to affect media production and policy at the local, state, and national level. The appendix to the Action Guide offers sample cover letters, prepared speeches, talking points, and a list of ten questions to ask candidates and elected officials. Also includes a handful of static-cling stickers to place on newspaper boxes, TVs, and radios that say "Warning: This device may dispense corporate media that lacks the diversity, skepticism and alternative points of view required by democracy."
