Artadia: The Fund for Art and Dialogue Names Carolyn Ramo as Executive Director

Artadia: The Fund for Art and Dialogue announced on August 3 the appointment of Carolyn Ramo as Executive Director. Ramo assumed the post as of July 24, 2012. Ramo brings over ten years of experience as a senior manager at a range of prominent New York galleries and institutions, where she has gained invaluable experience in innovative programming and artist-focused infrastructure.

Most recently, Ramo was a Partner at Taxter & Spengemann, a contemporary gallery focusing on emerging and mid-career artists, where Ramo was responsible for artist development, sales, and gallery management. Prior positions include Production Director at David Zwirner Gallery, Director at Nicole Klagsbrun Gallery, and at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Throughout her career, Ramo has championed emerging artists, developing strategic methods to support artists from many angles, including production and career development.
