Expanding on the first index on Silicon Valley published in 2002, this report uses data from original surveys and secondary sources to provide a statistical and anecdotal overview of the area's cultural ecology. While the report does not find that Silicon Valley has lost its position as a center of creativity, it offers a cautionary warning and some recommendations for strengthening its cultural core.
