Conference Keynote: The Steeles
The Wednesday breakfast keynote at the 2016 GIA Conference will feature the Steeles. Consisting of five siblings – J.D., Fred, Jearlyn, Jevetta, and Billy Steele – the Steeles have a musical style which has become an integral part of the Minnesota sound. This special keynote will be highlighted by the group’s energetic performance and a discussion of their work in supporting arts education in Minnesota.

Web Conference Series on Racial Equity in Grantmaking
GIA continues its web conference series, Practices for Advancing Racial Equity in Arts Grantmaking. The third session in the series, “Before the Deadline: Spreading the Word and Technical Assistance” will be held on Tuesday, August 2. The fourth and final session in the series, “Before and After the Decisions: Panel Review Process and Post-Cycle Support” will be held on Thursday, August 4.
