Register today for the 2016 GIA Conference, to be held October 16-19 in Saint Paul, MN. The GIA Conference provides the only national opportunity for arts grantmakers from across the country to come together to share knowledge and ideas, develop collective strategies, and learn about the latest initiatives in arts grantmaking. This year’s conference will feature over 40 sessions and inspiring keynote presentations and performances. A highlight of the conference will be a special Tuesday evening celebration on the shore of the Mississippi River. GIA members are eligible for discounted conference registration.
New Web Conference Series on Racial Equity in Grantmaking
GIA introduces a special four-session series of web conferences, “Practices for Advancing Racial Equity in Arts Grantmaking.” The first session will provide an update on GIA’s racial equity work, while the following three will explore practices funders can use to advance racial equity throughout the grant cycle. This series will feature examples from public, private, and intermediary grantmakers that we hope will offer inspiration for other funders examining their own assumptions and practices.
