(4-11-2011) Proposals for 2011 GIA conference sessions will be accepted through this Thursday, April 14. The conference will be in San Francisco from October 9 to 12. Embracing the Velocity of Change is the conference title and theme, and content at the intersections of art, technology, and social change will be featured.

(4-10-2011) Seattle mourns Melisssa Hines. For the past seven years, Melissa directed the Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs’ funding programs and led our arts education initiative. Previously, she dedicated 23 years of her career to The Empty Space Theatre.

The photographs document a series of projects funded via the Houston Arts Alliance's grantmaking program. Many thanks to the Alliance for sharing these striking images with the GIA membership.
