Integrating youth development principles with arts and culture seems natural—intentional methods to deeply engage young people; stimulate their best efforts; enhance their confidence, creativity and generation of art; and provide them with knowledge, skills and experiences to improve the quality of their lives. The Skillman Foundation’s Culture & Arts Youth Development Initiative (CAYDI) offers insights and addresses the foundation’s role in stimulating effective programming.
