Native American Resources for Funders

The Indigenous Resource Network (IRN) formed within Grantmakers in the Arts in 2004 with the goal to increase cultural competency and awareness within philanthropy regarding Indigenous models of giving, values, arts, and expressive culture. It aims to strengthen the role of Native voices in GIA's programs including the annual conference and the GIA Reader.

The IRN is made up of Native American funders and non-Native funders whose organizations fund in Indian country. All GIA members are welcome to participate.

The pages below list a variety of resources for funders that have been researched by GIA's Indigenous Resource Network with the assistance of consultant JoAnn Chase (Mandan/Hidatsa and Arikara.)
