Ford Foundation

2010, 44 pages, Ford Foundation, 320 E 43d St, New York, NY, 10017, 212-573-5000   www.fordfoundation.org

This report is a summary of three commissioned assessments (completed between 2003-09) of the Ford Foundation's Indigenous Knowledge and Expressive Culture initiative, a grantmaking initiative designed to strengthen Native American arts and culture. The initiative supported a significant portion of the more than $80 million the Ford Foundation has invested in Native American programs over the past two decades.

The report addresses the effectiveness of the grant program, its influence on leadership development, and the feasibility of a dedicated fund for Native American arts.

Indigenous Arts

I know this gallery well it's in the Sydney suburb of Leichhardt...they have some great Aboriginal art with some striking work from young unknown artists. I bought a small painting in July from them and I bought a slightly larger one from another gallery in Sydney www.aboriginalfineartgallery.com for Minnie Pwerle. I can't wait till next year as I am travelling up north to see what amazing art I can get up there
