At the Arts Table: Selected Roundtable + Panel Discussions presents highlights of the National Performance Network's December 1998 annual gathering of performing arts presenters. 150 artists and organizations from around the country convened in San Francisco. Panel discussions have been edited down to their essences, yet convey the character and distinct perspectives of speakers and audience members. Panel topics included mentoring, presenting artists with disabilities, and the challenge to innovation in traditional arts. Also captured are insightful comments from sessions among artists who develop work with community groups and reports from artists and presenters about how to develop and present effective artists' residencies.
